Horse rested for the Winter

Just 9 horses progressed into the 1.30m jump off with Massai putting in a fast four fault jump off round to earn her a money spinning 5th place!
13th September : Arena UK Grand Prix Meeting : Ventura Grand Prix Second Qualifying Round : Although already qualified for the final we decided to enter Dizzie to practice her ring craft. There was no doubting this horse's future potential as she easily cruised into 2nd place with yet another double clear.
11th September : Arena UK Grand Prix Meeting : Ventura Grand Prix ( 1.20 ) First Qualifying Round : Dizzie put her disappointment of not qualifying for the 1.30m Grand Prix Final behind her by booking her place into the final of this competition with a 12th place from 95 starters with a fluent double clear. There was the added bonus of the fourth Foxhunter double clear of the season to qualify her for the 2009 Foxhunter Regional Final.
10th September : Arena UK Grand Prix Meeting : Star of the Future Grand Prix ( 1.30m ) Qualifying Round : 154 horses lined up for a one off chance to make the top 30. Dizzie's Clear and four put her into a frustratingly close 35th place !
30th August : Scope / BSJA National Show Jumping Championships : Grade C Championship Grand Final : 33 horses lined up in the Championship Arena to contest this competition which has a starting height of 1.35m and a jump off at 1.40m. Just 13 horses progressed to the jump off which included Massai. We were elated when in spite of 4 faults and against quality opposition we took 10th place and were in the awards line up.
29th August : Scope / BSJA National Show Jumping Championships : Grade C Championship 2nd Semi Final : Approx 90 horses lined up chasing another 15 qualifying places for the Grand Final. 28th August : Scope / BSJA National Show Jumping Championships : Grade C Championship 1st Semi Final : Approx 100 horses lined up chasing 15 qualifying places for the Grand Final and duly obliged with a fast double clear putting her into a money winning 12th qualifying place. 13th July : Southview Newcomers Regional Final / Scope Masters : We could not ask more from this horse as she was one of only 20 horses to make the 1.45m third round. She can be forgiven for rubbing one oxer to give her four faults ( only four horses got around at this height ) , but as she was going for a steady 5th place qualifying double clear , her time put her down in the final placings. She never the less returned an impressive 13th from 110 original entrants.

28th March : Arena UK : The horse was ' run around ' a 1 meter Amateur Championship Qualifier course to give the new rider a feel for the horse,
Feb 3rd : Arena UK : Winter Novice Championship Qualifier : A competition which in spite of its name was anything but a Novice competition saw 145 horses line up for a 3 round competition starting at 1.10m in the first round. We were pleased therefore , but equally frustrated that in the second round 1.25m course the horse navigated all the more technical fences but came unstuck at one of the more easier uprights.
