What is this ?

Greenacres  Stud are  Breeders and Importers of  Warmblood Show Jumping  horses. We are a  family concern situated in South Derbyshire England and surrounded by over 300 acres of the New National Forest.  Our premises and newly refurbished horse facilities cover approx 45 acres. We started as a non profit making organisation. All  members of the family connected with Greenacres Stud  had full time occupations outside of the horse world. Today , we are a full commercial enterprise.

We at Greenacres Stud have been involved in equestrian activities for more years than we care to remember but from humble beginnings we now employ two full time competition riders and their  support staff.

In 2003 , we formed our own show jumping team and by 2008 had a string of mares jumping from Novice up to 1.40m. Our mare Voices Retto has been appraised by the BSJA Pathway Team led by the UK Team Manager Derek Ricketts. In 2009 we were due to be heading off to both Spain and to Lanaken in Belgium for the FEI Young Horse World Championships.

  The 3 Musketeers

As anybody with horses will testify , not only are they a time consuming pleasure , their upkeep and transportation costs can run into many figures !  That is why , to help offset costs , commencing April 2005 part of the main house at Greenacres Stud has been converted  into a luxury Self Catering Apartment sleeping 2 adults and will be ready for  long or short breaks. In 2007 Manor Croft Livery was purchased to increase our incoming revenues.

For those of you travelling across the country to competitions , being placed right in the middle of the country , we are also able to offer your  Horses Bed and Breakfast  accommodation overnight or for longer ! (You can either sleep in your horsebox on site , enquire if our own accommodation is available or book in at the B & B just a short distance down the lane in the village. )

We do expect to be busy , as not only being in a central location , we are only a short distance from many major competition venues, eg. Catton Park and the NEC and Staffordshire County Showground as well as many local show jumping venues. Our all weather floodlit ménage is free to use for all visiting horses.

We would also like to hear from people who have  Show Jumping Horses or Broodmares  for sale . We have many friends whose horses compete in either show jumping  or eventing and who are looking for suitable horses.  Equally , we have a number of associates with a variety of Horses for Sale  Even if what you are looking for is  not listed , it is worth while sending an  E mail  to us , giving a brief description of your horse requirements. If we know of any suitable horse becoming available , we will be pleased to point you in the right direction !

Both myself ( Terry Fuller ) who has been given the dubious task of compiling this Web Site and Christine  (Mart ) , who composed most of it , hope you enjoy looking over this site and come back whenever possible as it will be  updated on a regular basis.
